Ophelia Chambliss My growth as an artist can be seen in the evolution of my process, color palette, and mediums.

My approach to most of my work is very methodical, and well thought out, with sketches, revisions, and color, before execution. Because I have a message I want to communicate in the work, I give a lot of thought to the content, placement and format of the piece.

Today, I see my work as being on a more purposeful mission. I paint concepts and ideas rather than things. I can imagine that my next show would be (Visual Rhetoric), addressing "the concerns of what can be" through rhetorical concepts as visual images.

At this point in my creative expression, if I were asked the question of "what's on your mind?" I would have to respond, "what is on my mind is too complex for words, and that the thoughts could only be captured in conceptualized images". My next shows title will be, "Mosaic", which is a collection and range of societal influenced styles, visions and perceptions by one artist. www.opheliachambliss.com
